Edwards Recycling provides a wide variety of resource and waste management services to
businesses in and around London specialising in the collection and recycling of waste
materials and provision of storage and compaction equipment.
We aim to be an inclusive company and are committed to upholding the measures outlined
within the Modern Slavery Act. The business is committed to understanding risks posed by
the threat of modern slavery and ensuring these do not become problems in our own
business or of those within our supply chain.
We shall implement the due diligence procedures across our recruitment and supply chain to
identify any prior convictions of any offence involving slavery and trafficking or any person(s)
that has been or is the subject of any investigation, inquiry, or enforcement. Employees are
actively encouraged to report any instances or suspicions of modern slavery or trafficking be it
within the business or the supply chain. The identification and prevention of modern slavery
and trafficking is the responsibility of all employees regardless of status within the company.
Edwards shall comply with any request from governmental bodies to accurately complete and
within a timely manner any slavery and due diligence questionnaires and cooperate with any
investigation into slavery or trafficking. This policy shall be communicated to all current and
future suppliers, contractors and other partners within the business when entering into new or
renewed contracts with them.
Any employee that following investigation is found to have breached this policy will face
disciplinary action and potentially dismissal for gross misconduct. Edwards reserves the right
to terminate any business relationship with contractors, suppliers or other business partners if
they are found to have breached the outlined policy or engaged with slavery or human
trafficking.
The company’s Directors have the overall responsibility for the implementation and
compliance with this Policy and it is the responsibility of each individual Manager, at all levels,
to ensure the policy is effectively implemented. It is the responsibility of every employee to
uphold and adhere to this policy.
This Policy will be regularly reviewed to ensure continuing relevance and effectiveness.
