Modern Slavery Policy

Edwards Recycling provides a wide variety of resource and waste management services to businesses in and around London specialising in the collection and recycling of waste materials and provision of storage and compaction equipment.

We aim to be an inclusive company and are committed to upholding the measures outlined within the Modern Slavery Act. The business is committed to understanding risks posed by the threat of modern slavery and ensuring these do not become problems in our own business or of those within our supply chain.

We shall implement the due diligence procedures across our recruitment and supply chain to identify any prior convictions of any offence involving slavery and trafficking or any person(s) that has been or is the subject of any investigation, inquiry, or enforcement. Employees are actively encouraged to report any instances or suspicions of modern slavery or trafficking be it within the business or the supply chain. The identification and prevention of modern slavery and trafficking is the responsibility of all employees regardless of status within the company.

Edwards shall comply with any request from governmental bodies to accurately complete and within a timely manner any slavery and due diligence questionnaires and cooperate with any investigation into slavery or trafficking. This policy shall be communicated to all current and future suppliers, contractors and other partners within the business when entering into new or renewed contracts with them.

Any employee that following investigation is found to have breached this policy will face disciplinary action and potentially dismissal for gross misconduct. Edwards reserves the right to terminate any business relationship with contractors, suppliers or other business partners if they are found to have breached the outlined policy or engaged with slavery or human trafficking.

The company’s Directors have the overall responsibility for the implementation and compliance with this Policy and it is the responsibility of each individual Manager, at all levels, to ensure the policy is effectively implemented. It is the responsibility of every employee to uphold and adhere to this policy.

This Policy will be regularly reviewed to ensure continuing relevance and effectiveness.
